About Ian's Pizza On Halloween of 2001, we opened our first shop in Madison, WI. Mac n' cheese pizza was basically unheard of back then (sources not cited), and we were blasting Emo tunes like the angsty young'uns we were. But it's 2023, and our little restaurant franchise is all grown up now! We now have 9 shops total between Madison, Milwaukee, Denver, and Seattle. Pies are flying out of our ovens for lunch crowds, dinner rushes, and late-night munchies. We prioritize our people and communities, recognizing that without them, we're nothing! Rotational Manager Job Duties and Expectations You're an up-and-coming restaurant expert! This position is meant to prepare someone with supervisory experience for the next step: management. You'll rotate between all 3 Madison restaurants to support the General Managers and Assistant Managers in the overall daily operations with the goal of promotion into a non-rotating management position within 6-12 months. As a RM, you will participate in overseeing all store operations, including but not limited to: product ordering, vendor relationships, implementation of systems or processes, and staffing scheduling. You will attend all staff, team, and manager meetings unless adequate notice is given. We use Google Docs, Calendar, Drive, etc so you'll be expected to learn these tools and use 'em! Here's what you need to be a success as a Rotational Manager at Ian's... Experience as a supervisor or manager in the restaurant/food industry. Embrace and embody Ian's Standards for Customer Service and respect. Learn what to prioritize and when to ask for help. Communicate well and often. Keep busy even when no one is watching to get the job done. Arrive on time, ready to go, and follow through on tasks. Practice generosity with your time and bring positive energy to the job. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. To bend, crouch, and lift up to 20-50 lbs. To use ovens, pizza cutters, and other equipment of the business. Cross-trained and regularly able to perform all entry-level positions (Front of House, Cook, Delivery) within 6 months of being placed in position. Must complete a food safety certification course within 4 months of being placed in position. English language proficiency required for this position. Must be 18+ to apply. Scheduling This position is salaried for 45 hours per week: 20-30 hours in operations/on-shift, about 5-10 hours on people development and training, and about 5-10 hours on administration and meetings. 9-5 is a Dolly Parton song, not a job at Ian's Pizza. We expect managers to have availability for Late Night shifts once a week as well as availability for rotating weekends. Note, opening shifts typically start 1-2 hours before opening time, and closing shifts typically end 1-2 hours after closing time. Wages and Other Benefits The salary for this position starts at $40,000 annually with a guarantee of $47,000 annually including tips and bonuses.
