Primary Purpose: The Cashier will use cash registers, electronic scanners, and related equipment to conduct monetary transactions with customers. Qualifications: Education/Certification/Experience: High School diploma/GED preferred 1 + years of food service experience 1 + years of cash handling experience Current CPR & First Aid certifications Current Texas Food Handlers certification Valid Texas Driver License or ID Special Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in using various computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) Ability to accurately count money. Must be responsible, reliable and prompt. Must establish and maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers and the public. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Major Responsibilities and Duties: 1.Accountable for all monies received while on duty; 2.Responsible for reconciling cash register; 3.Answers telephones; 4.Responsible for keeping the dining area in a safe and clean condition; 5.Welcome patrons and take their food & beverage orders; 6.Effectively communicate with the cook and assist with food prep as time permits; 7.Keep dining area clean and free of debris; 8.Restock supplies as needed Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Motion: Frequent sitting to standing, frequent wrist and elbow flexion, fingertip gripping Lifting: Frequent light to moderate lifting; occasional heavy lifting (up to 25 pounds) Environment: Indoor regulated temperatures, bright sunlight, artificial light, exposure to food odors, cleaning & sanitizing agents Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under pressure; work with frequent interruption; ability to assess workload and properly prioritize duties; ability to be cognizant of your surroundings while concentrating on your duties at your work station.
