Our Services for People with Disabilities team is searching for a dedicated, energetic full-time Respite Program Supervisor in the Council Bluffs area. Supervisor will oversee respite services in Pottawattamie & Harrison and surrounding counties. The Iowans we serve are seeking a life of greater confidence and independence, and it's our privilege to empower them toward success every day.This position offers a flexible schedule & does have some work from home flexibility! Duties The purpose of respite care is to give the parent or primary caregiver a break from the daily responsibilities of caring for a child or adult with a disability. The Program Supervisor oversees our Respite Care services, and is responsible for delivering the services and supervision of Respite staff. This position will coordinate with providers, case managers and families/clients. Will review and process referrals, match clients with providers, monitor client units, participate in client annual meetings/assessments, network and market the program, do home surveys with providers, supervise providers and partake in the hiring process for new providers.We are looking for someone with good organizational skills and someone who is able to be independent with their schedule. This position is primarily 1st shift, but may require meetings in the evenings. Some travel required. Qualifications Qualified candidates for this job will have one of the following: Required: High School Diploma or GED and five years of experience in human services, education or human services related field with 2 years being in a leadership position OR Associates Degree and three years of related experience; with at least one year in a leadership role OR Bachelor's Degree in a human services related field and one year of related experienc e Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a human services related field and one year of related experience. Additionally, years of related experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred. This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record, and the ability to pass an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, the Sex Offender registry, and the criminal history check.SCL, supported community living, disabilities, mental health, non-profit, social services, social work, human services, human development, family services, family studies, psychology, sociology, special education, LSI, DSP, direct support professionals, program supervisor, supervisor, supervisory
