Are you looking for a job? You're in luck! We're HIRING!! This position reports directly to the Program Manager of the department and is responsible to provide group and one to one instruction daily to consumers; record data regarding the daily progress of customers meeting their ISP objectives; ensure the safety of customers; maintain classroom equipment; provide general clean-up for facility; assist in application of behavioral management techniques as specified in instructional plans; provide personal care such as toileting, dressing, feeding and mobility assistance to consumers when necessary; provide lifting and positioning of customers as instructed to promote and maintain a congenial supportive work environment and other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications: Must possess High School diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years of age or older Must have transportation Must maintain First Aid and CPR Certificates. (company provides courses and certification) Have knowledge of developmental and physical disabilities, behavior and medical problems that can accompany the primary and secondary disability. Must be in good health with the ability to lift 50 pounds. Knowledge of basic personal care and behavior modification techniques; must be able to remain calm in situations of high stress; must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Valid CA-Driver's License and insurance for mileage reimbursement. A schedule tailored for you Community outings- you can meet your client at a bowling alley, chuck e. cheese, movies, and more - while being paid! Respite: To provide primary caregivers of disabled clients temporary relief from their duties.
