Minden Medical Center is looking for well-organized, energetic , Respiratory Coordinator / Licensed Respiratory Therapist for our Respiratory Department to work full-time during the day shift. The ideal candidates will have the ability to interact in a positive and compassionate manner with patients, co-workers, physicians and supervisors. MMC offers competitive salaries and complete benefit packages. Qualifications: Must be a currently licensed respiratory therapist with LSBME. Must have current BLS through AHA upon hire. Preferred 5 -10 years of acute hospital respiratory therapy experience in all aspects of respiratory care from newborn to geriatric, including ventilator setup/management, ED & Med Surg. Must have the ability to create and maintain professional relationships with peers and managers. Must be able to use critical thinking skills for patient care and respiratory therapy processes. Must be capable of making decisions and evaluating departmental and patient needs using applied logic and best practices in all regards for patient safety and care. Must exhibit professionalism in action and demeaner and able to make departmental decisions using best practices until the department director and / or other management staff is available. Preferred Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in medical related field chief tech and/or coordinator experience in a hospital and/or similar setting required. Full PFT experience preferred. Computer skills with programs such as Excel & Word preferred. Must be self-driven, team oriented & have good communication skills. Must be flexible with dept. scheduling needs and take call. Required Cerifications / Licensures: CRT or RRT required; CPR required; ACLS, PALS, NRP are strongly recommended. Employee must meet physical and mental requirements as identified by the physical activity evaluation form. OSHA CATEGORY I. Tasks That Involve Exposure To Blood, Body Fluids, or Tissues. All procedures or other job-related tasks that involve an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashes of them, are Category 1 tasks.
