Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) Job Summary: Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders. Assume primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities, including the supervision of respiratory therapy technicians. Initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures; maintain patient records; and select, assemble, check, and operate equipment. (This is a part time position will support our Pulmonology Team Thursdays & Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm) Primary Job Responsibilities: Interview and examine patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. Consult with physicians to develop patient treatment plans. Perform diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity and pulmonary testing. Treat patients by using a variety of methods, including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications. Monitor and record the progress of treatment. Teach patients how to use treatments. Work at different Tryon office locations as needed. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Education and Certifications: Minimum of an Associate degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner required. Maintain American Heart Association BLS or American Red Cross certification. Maintain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification (ACLS) if role requires. Completion of Hepatitis B Vaccine and Flu Vaccine Form will be required. Candidate may decline vaccination through declination form or may provide record of vaccination from previous employer. Completion of TB test will be required. Experience: At least two years of related experience. Physical Requirements: Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support weight of 35 pounds. Ability to concentrate on details. Use of computer for long periods of time. Powered by JazzHR
