In this program, you will undergo comprehensive developmental courses, participate in group coaching sessions, be paired with a seasoned mentor, and engage in an exciting innovation project that challenges your creativity and problem-solving skills. What your day might look like: - Performing analytical testing on liquid, solid and mixed matrix materials per Standard Operating Procedures guidelines - Meeting established due dates for all work assigned - Driving continuous improvement for assigned analytical testing techniques - Ensuring all results reported conform with the site Quality Management System requirements - Participating in Corrective Action and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for significant laboratory quality issues - Authoring and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures - Performing method development, validation and implementation for techniques and instrumentation - Training other employees on select Standard Operating Procedures - Following all EHS policies and procedures - Providing support for other laboratory areas as assigned by Manager Our Ideal Candidate - Career-driven individual who is seeking an opportunity within an organization that can help you develop personally and professionally - Provides customer service that is above and beyond needs and expectations - Punctual and dependable - Impeccable organization and time management - Excellent problem solving ability - Clear, concise communication and presentation skills - Adaptable to an ever-changing environment - Works well with a team and able to lead - Takes pride in their appearance/uniform and what it stands for Bonus Skills - Skilled in one or more of the following areas: spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, spectrophotometry, microscopy, electrochemistry, filtrations, extractions, gravimetry, chromatography - Experience using a LabWare or similar LIMS - Experience working in an ISO 9001 (or similar) certified organization - Prior experience performing analyses for industrial water or process systems Program Eligibility Requirements & Qualifications - B.S. or B.A. degree in Chemistry or related field - Analytical laboratory experience using state-of-art analytical instrumentation or techniques - Strong interpersonal skills to work with cross functional teams - Strong written and oral technical communication skills - Ability to lead projects - Capable of performing in a fast paced and high volume environment - Excellent computer skills At Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
