The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the incumbent participates in clinical research projects involving the administration of investigational therapies and treatments to a defined group of patients. The primary responsibility is to identify eligible candidates for the research study and monitor the ongoing clinical status of patients while they are receiving investigational therapies. The clinical research nurse works with the Principal Investigator(s) to ensure patient safety in the conduct of clinical research. The clinical research nurse must provide professional nursing care and participate in the administration of an assigned research study functioning within the standards of nursing practice in Manitoba. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the incumbent participates in clinical research projects involving the administration of investigational therapies and treatments to a defined group of patients.
