WHAT TO EXPECT AS A REMODEL ESTIMATOR As our Remodel Estimator, you are essential to the continued growth and profitability of our company! You put your analytical thinking and planning skills to good use by examining designs and plans for residential remodeling projects and generating accurate cost estimates for the work. These estimates consider labor, material, and time costs as well as account for any potential issues or future roadblocks. After generating your estimates, you help the design staff create a contract for the client. No two projects are the same, so you give every job your full attention as you think of possible outcomes and develop the optimal methods for completing the work. While devising these methods, you make sure they are safe, reasonable, and in accordance with our company's technical guidelines and policies. Attentive to detail, you also maintain our company's database and help develop more efficient construction practices for future jobs. You enjoy the variety in your days and take pride in delivering fantastic results to our clients! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A REMODEL ESTIMATOR 5+ years of estimating experience in the construction or remodeling industry Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field OR an equivalent amount of experience Experience using estimating software such as Buildertrend Computer proficiency and ability to use software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel Knowledge about construction specifications related to remodeling Are you financially literate? Do you have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills? Can you manage your time well and effectively prioritize multiple tasks? Are you a flexible and adaptable problem solver? Do you pay close attention to even the smallest detail? Can you think on your feet and adjust your strategies as needed? If yes, you might just be perfect for this estimating position!
