Position Overview Under the direction of the Patient Care Manager and in accordance with directions provided by the partnering therapist, the Rehabilitation Attendant performs a variety of duties in accordance with predetermined treatment programs for patients/residents at Riverview Health Centre. The rehabilitation attendant demonstrates a commitment to the mission, vision, values, goals and objectives of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and Riverview Health Centre. Experience Current experience providing attendant services in rehabilitation an asset. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Grade 12. Certificate or diploma from a recognized Rehabilitation Attendant training program required. Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable Qualifications and Skills Knowledge of basic principles, techniques and procedures related to Rehabilitation Attendant duties. Knowledge of Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), Principles of Routine Practices and other relevant Workplace Safety and Health requirements/responsibilities. Knowledge of regional, site and work area policies and procedures. Ability to express ideas and thoughts in English both verbally and in written format. Ability to listen and comprehend effectively.
