Full job descriptionWe are an Ambulatory Surgical Center here in Rome, Ga. We are looking for a Registered Nurse to care for our patients and facilitate their speedy recovery during and after surgery. You will be overseeing the patient during surgery. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. You will be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote patient?s well-being by providing high quality nursing care. This position is part time, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Applicants must be fully vaccinated. Responsibilities Monitor patient?s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.Observe and interpret patient?s symptoms and communicate them to physiciansCollaborate with physician to devise individualized care plans for patientsPerform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements and fill in patients? chartsAdjust and administer patient?s medication and provide treatments according to physician?s orders.Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)Provide instant medical care in emergenciesAssist surgeons during operations.Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.Oversees and implements plans for increased efficiency and for ensuring communication of policies/procedures/protocols in the department.Maintains a record log of all area equipment, including maintenance and repair records.Assist with medication management to include monitoring medication stock and order necessary meds as needed, updating formulary, pharmacy audits and other necessities.Assists in inventory management Skills Proven experience as a registered nurseExcellent knowledge of nursing care methods and proceduresExcellent knowledge of emergency careIn-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all timesA team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsResponsible and compassionateOutstanding organizational and multi-tasking skillsPatient with excellent problem-solving skillsBSC or other diploma from a nursing programValid nursing licenseJob Type: Part-time Estimated Pay: From $51,603.00 per year Medical specialties: Medical-SurgicalSurgeryPhysical setting: OutpatientStandard shift: Day shiftEducation: Associate (Preferred)Experience: Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification: BLS Certification (Preferred)RN (Required)Work Location: In person
