Position Summary Responsible for providing safe and effective perioperative care to patients undergoing invasive procedures in an office-based setting. This position will primarily be in pre/post interventional pain procedures with a cross training in conscious sedation. We work Monday-Thursday, no Holidays and no weekends! Looking for someone who is a strong leader, has good energy, enjoys customer service and performs well with minimal supervision.Pay: $38 - $48 per hour Schedule: 4 x 10 Day shift only Monday - Thursday Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performing preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care, cardiac monitoring, neurological monitoring and health assessments. Performing physical exams and health histories. Administering conscious sedation. Interpreting patient information and make critical decisions about needed actions. Coordinating, in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Ensuring performance is in compliance with all applicable laws, guidelines, policies, and procedures to include HIPAA; Health and Safety policies (e.g., OSHA); department policies and procedures, and facility quality standards. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Associate degree in nursing (ASN) or bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited program of professional nursing. Possess an unencumbered RN license. Possess BLS Certification. Possess ACLS Certification. Previous experience in interventional pain management or ambulatory surgery experience. Strong knowledge of anatomy as it relates to interventional pain procedures. Strong IV and blood draw skills. Working knowledge of the nursing process and its application, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Excellent interpersonal skills and demeanor. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and performs well with minimal supervision. Effective oral, written, and listening communication skills. Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple patients simultaneously. Skilled in the use of several machines and special equipment including Patient Monitors, Post-Operative Appliances, Medical Chairs or Stretchers, Positioning Equipment, Radiofrequency Ablation Generators. Proficient in the use of a PC; in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; and in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to assess treatment and care for specific patient populations. Ability to work both independently managing multiple projects, as well as collaboratively with others to achieve common goals. Ability to achieve results in a team-oriented environment. Ability to identify and proactively solve problems. Ability to thrive in a patient-focused environment Ability to organize on a continuum due to the changing status of the patients and the environment. Ability to administer IVs properly and efficiently Ability to demonstrate Colorado Pain Care’s core values and performance principles of leadership, integrity, kindness, excellence, and service. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be exposed to some hazards such as radiation, bodily fluids that may contain disease.
