An “Outstanding”-rated, charity-led service in Eastbourne is now looking for a Registered Nurse RN Adult to join them in supporting local people who have life-limiting conditions. For over 40 years, the team has been offering comprehensive palliative care, advice, and support services to people approaching the end of their lives and those dear to them. Through specialist medical and therapeutic services, emotional and practical support, and a nurse-staffed helpline live 24/7, the charity ensures people living with dying, death and grief can receive the compassionate care they need throughout this exceptionally difficult time. You will be a highly valued member of the MDT, working collaboratively to support symptom management for a range of palliative conditions such as cancers, organ failure, and chronic respiratory diseases, support emotional wellbeing, and make a real difference in quality of life. Previous palliative experience is desirable, but not essential as you will receive a complete training package based around clinical competencies, including skills such as complex medication, IV and transfusions, with support from the on-site clinical facilitator. There can also be opportunities to rotate into the charity’s community-based services upon agreement. This is a permanent position for a Registered Nurse RN Adult, with options available for full-time or part-time, day shifts or night shifts. This role includes a 6-month probationary period. Person specification: Essential Registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse Adult.
