Position Overview Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs. These services include independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, a leadership role within the health care team, and coordination of patient care and discharge. Experience Not Applicable Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) The successful candidate will be required to enroll in the Manitoba Nephrology Nursing Course. The successful applicant must complete a pre-study program and successfully complete an exam on the basis of the pre-study program. Continued employment in this position is conditional upon successful completion of the above program. The Manitoba Nephrology Nursing Course is a full-time nine-week training program with a period of theory, labs and clinical experience followed by 1008 hours (equivalent to 6-months full-time) of work experience in dialysis.
