The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute health care team who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and coordinating the total care of patients. Through collaboration with all members of the treatment team, the Registered Nurse will address any patient and family concerns related to the identified illness and disease process. The Registered Nurse is self-directed, empowered and accountable for the direct supervision of all team members delivering care to assigned patients. Able to verbalize understanding of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation. Has knowledge and understanding of physical and emotional disease processes, clinical nursing skills, and administration of medications. Basic computer skills required. Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license or Graduate Nurse (GN) license required. Full-time, part-time, and PRN available on all shifts. $15,000 sign on bonus for full-time. PRN candidates will receive a $500 sign on bonus. Full and part time GNs may also qualify to participate in the Graduate Nurse Expense Reimbursement Program and receive up to $5,000 each year for up to a 3-year commitment.
