Registered Dietitian Full Time Bilingual Hindi/Punjabi The Parker Jewish Institute, located in New Hyde Park, NY is seeking a full time or part time Registered Dietitian to join its team of professionals in Dietary Clinical Care on a full time or part time basis to work developing menus and providing excellent nutritional care to our residents living on our Indian cultural unit. Parker's Indian Cultural Unit is the first of its kind serving East and West Indian older adults living in Nassau/Queens. This dedicated Indian Cultural Unit provides specialized, culturally relevant care for Indian patients including activities, entertainment, food and staff fluent in Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi and Punjabi, dedicated to these patients and their needs. Working collaboratively with our clinical dietary, food service, and the rest of the interdisciplinary care team at Parker Jewish Institute, you will provide assessment of our residents' nutritional status, implement, monitor and modify nutritional care as planned, assist with planning and revision of resident menus, and work across the facility to evaluate and resolve problems as they occur. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Degree in Food and Nutrition Registered Dietitian Experience with clinical nutrition care in hospital or nursing home, or similar clinical environment Bilingual in English and one of the following languages: Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati Prior experience developing menus for Vegetarian diets or with Indian food a plus Ability to communicate pleasantly and effectively with residents, staff and family members Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 This is a unique and essential clinical role in a renowned health care facility among innovative and committed leaders in the industry.
