Job Type: Part-time (29.5 or less hours/week); Full time (30 or more hours/week) Positive Vibes ABA, LLC is seeking individuals who have an interest in special education, psychology, child development, or a related field. The primary goal at Positive Vibes ABA, LLC is to provide high-quality therapy to individuals and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other disabilities helping them reach their full potential through ABA (applied behavior analysis) services. Job Responsibilities: Working 1:1 with clients to implement behavior treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Taking data on behaviors and writing progress notes Treatment plans often address communication, behavior, feeding, and social skill needs among other areas As an RBT you will monitor the progress of clients and work closely with the BCBA to update treatment plans as necessary Must collaborate effectively with other team members The RBT position is a part-time position, working in the clinic, client homes, schools, or in the community Daytime, after-school, evening, and weekend hours are available. Other tasks as needed Qualifications: Valid RBT Certification (Positive Vibes ABA will reimburse the cost of taking the RBT board exam after 6 months of employment with the company) Valid Adult & Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification (Positive Vibes ABA reimburses you for training cost) High School Diploma or equivalent minimum, Associate?s or Bachelor's degrees preferred. Preference is given to those pursuing a career in ABA or similar. Experience working with individuals with autism, other intellectual or developmental disabilities, and/or severe problem behavior preferred Ability to assist individuals with personal care tasks with sensitivity and age- and skill-appropriate privacy Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written mediums Ability to take scientific data on behaviors Ability to work well independently and in a team environment Ability to maintain a neutral affect and professional composure in the midst of chaotic situations Ability to be flexible and think quickly on your feet Ability to pass a background check Other skills/information: Ability to provide your own transportation Ability to take a 40-hour online class What we offer: Positive Vibes ABA, LLC will reimburse the cost of taking the RBT board exam after 6 months of employment with the company After 3 months of working in the field, we will reimburse you for your in-person CPR/First Aid Training ($100) Professional Liability Insurance provided Flexible, part-time schedule to include daytime, after-school, evening, or weekend hours as available Ongoing support and supervision & professional development in the field of behavior analysis Competitive Pay Paid Holidays Full Time Only Offers: Annual Paid Time Off Paid Membership in APBA Experience: Working directly with individuals with disabilities: 1 year (Preferred) Education: High school or equivalent (Required) College in related field preferred Location: Clinic in Kingsport, client homes, and schools in Tri-Cities and surrounding areas NOTICE: This position requires a criminal background check.
