Regional Trialing Coordinator Position Summary The Regional Trialing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the company's offsite trials. The Regional Trialing Coordinator works closely with product managers, product technicians, and territory sales representatives to implement and execute the annual trialing program. This is a full-time position based at the JSS research farm in Albion Maine and reports to the Director of Product Selection and Trialing. Responsibilities Place offsite trials throughout the year in alignment with goals set by product management Coordinate all aspects of offsite product development trials by: Developing and maintaining relationships with internal trialing partners in all regions of the United States Communicating key planting deadlines by region to product technicians Coordinating sample acquisition with product technicians Preparing and shipping trial samples and instructions to offsite trialing partners Providing regular trial updates to product technicians and managers Facilitating payment upon trial completion Coordinate all aspects of offsite grower trials by collaborating with: Seed production to forecast samples requirements for pilot productions Seed packing to pack samples for pilot productions once received Product management to allocate samples and develop feedback forms Territory sales representatives to distribute samples and feedback forms, update trial status, and facilitate grower payments Distribute summary of offsite trial placements to product management Annually report on success rate of regional trialing activity through a comprehensive review of trials by species, region, grower type, and reporting Manage a database of regional trial cooperators to include an assessment of the cooperators capacity, capability, and output Collate results across regions by product for product management Support university and extension trialing relationships and performance tracking Support Product Management and Development projects as required Education High school diploma or GED required. BA/BS preferred, or 3+ years of relevant experience. Qualifications & Skills Excellent organization skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent software and computer skills, particularly in spreadsheet and database applications. Persistence and good follow up. Ability to prioritize, self-manage, and seek help when necessary. Commercial variety trialing and/or seed sales represetative experience helpful Punctuality and readiness to work. Ability to travel domestically as required. Valid Maine driver's license. Ability to function as part of a team. Physical Requirements Capable of physically working outdoors, often in less-than-ideal weather conditions.
