Career Opportunity: RECRUITER Based at Head Office, some remote work possible Umbrella Family and Child Centres of Hamilton is currently searching for a dynamic, resourceful Recruiter. The Recruiter is responsible for driving all recruitment & selection, onboarding and offboarding processes within the Umbrella Family. This position is a key point of contact for potential candidates, managers, staff, and students. This role plays an important role helping to shape the culture of our organization, and ensuring we can attract the most suitable candidate pool and hire the best possible employees. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the successful Recruiter will: Coordinate and participate in all stages of full cycle recruiting. Develop applicant backssment tools including interview guides, backssments, and reference checks. Find creative ways to attract a quality candidate pool. Provide recruitment-related guidance and consultation to hiring supervisors and managers. Collaborate on and execute organizational recruiting strategies. Coordinate onboarding activities in collaboration with Payroll and Programs. Perform recruitment-related administrative tasks including use of ATS. Support and facilitate strong partnerships with colleges & universities and industry partners. Qualifications required for the position include: CHRP (completed or in progress), RPR (completed) or a comparable designation. 5 years progressive experience in full-cycle recruitment, or 5 years Human Resources experience with an emphasis on Recruitment-related responsibilities. Diploma/Degree in Human Resources or other relevant field, or comparable experience. Experience working within a unionized environment is a distinct asset. Excellent communicator and active listener; a relationship builder. Adapts well to change, tech savvy, innovative problem solver, detail oriented, resourceful.
