Description:

Easterseals Iowa is currently looking to fill our Recreation Professional position! This individual will be responsible for: Providing a safe and engaging environment for campers and clients to interact during programming Responsible for set up and run scheduled programs assigned for the weekend Ability to adapt programs to meet specific needs of individual clients Work cooperatively with support team members and volunteers in adapting activities to meet the needs of clients. Assist in facilitating pony rides for Camp & Respite Responsible for tear down of program areas Clean, inventory and maintain program equipment and supplies to ensure it is ready for the next use Other duties as assigned This position will require a belay certification as well as preference to lifeguard certification, (or willing to obtain via Easterseals training). Knowledge of horses and training is favored. Hours may vary, however, this position does require commitment to Summer Camp Season- (June 5th- August 20th), and Respite weekends that occur twice per month.
