Recovery Court Counselor - Full Time - Wake County Join a supportive team who is excited to continue building and shaping our newly launched Recovery Court Program! As our full-time Recovery Court Counselor, you will ensure that services run smoothly, clients receive optimal care, and that support provided is consistent with outlined deliverables. You will provide direct care/clinical services to identified persons that are eligible for the Recovery Court program. This role has many elements including but not limited to: administering assessments, counseling clients, making referrals, performing follow-up, interacting with other community service agencies, preparing timely documentation, and maintaining case records. Schedule Monday - Friday flexible hours, availability to facilitate occasional evening groups. No weekends! Pay Starting pay range for this role is $47,000 - $52,000 per year, based on experience and licensure. We have options for a standard plan, as well as an HSA with a $300 initial contribution and up to a $25 per paycheck match. You would receive 10 paid holidays as well as PTO hours which would accrue at a rate of 10 hours per month. After 6 months you would be eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan which has a 4% match. We also provide company paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability, in house and paid training opportunities, and paid credentialing. SouthLight is also eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF). Job Responsibilities of a Recovery Court Counselor Provide virtual, office, and community-based intakes and screening assessments to determine diagnoses and appropriate level of care Complete written documentation at the time of service Establish a therapeutic counseling relationship with each member assigned Identify elements of member crisis, respond to each members' needs to ensure their safety, and integrate crisis experience into the treatment process Maintain member record, including NCTOPPS, discharge planning, and preparing clinical notes and psychosocial assessments Attend weekly Recovery Court meetings and a minimum of monthly individual supervision Attend weekly meetings with the interdisciplinary team and at the courthouse Provide on-call crisis coverage (about 2x/yr) Provide individual and group therapy Qualifications of a Recovery Court Counselor Education and Experience Minimum Master's degree in a Human Services field Meets the requirements specified for a QP status Licensure/Certifications Licensed to practice clinically (LCAS, LMFT, LPC, LCSW) OR Will become fully licensed (provisionally licensed at date of hire) within 2 years of hire Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Knowledgeable about nature of drug and alcohol addiction and withdrawal symptoms Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community Familiar with the DSM 5 for diagnostic and treatment purposes Working knowledge of systems theory and/or other counseling theories and substance abuse treatment Ability to foster a cooperative work environment; ability to work in a team setting as well as independently Proactively seeks out clients through internal and external outreach if case load does not provide enough cases to meet billable expectation/productivity requirement About SouthLight Healthcare Tap into your passion at SouthLight Healthcare.
