Recovery Counselor Full Time | Day Shift **Pay Rate up to $26/hour; Bonus up to $5,000 based on licensure!** Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking a Recovery Counselor for LSS Health Center (formerly Health Center at Faith Mission) in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will share Our Mission : Creating a better world by serving people in need. What will I do as a Recovery Counselor with Lutheran Social Services? Provide treatment and support services for health center patients with substance use disorders, including screening, assessment, diagnosis, counseling, recovery support activities, and referral to other treatment and support resources. Conducts psycho-educational groups; assists consumer in peer group support to facilitate problem solving, communication skills development and personal growth; support in achieving recovery goals as reflected in the consumer's screening, assessment, treatment plan or discharge summary. Provide crisis intervention services for patients, families, and others as needed. Provide outreach and engagement services with people who may be at risk of substance use. This includes outreach in the health center, other Faith Mission / LSSCO programs, and in the community. Coordinate recovery treatment and support with other healthcare staff to ensure the delivery of patient focused, integrated health care. Provide education, training, and coaching for staff members and partners regarding treatment and support for substance use disorders. Maintain complete and accurate documentation for treatment and support services provided. Assist with program data and statistics and participate in Quality Improvement activities. Help meet standards set by HRSA and other accreditation standards for clinical competency. Develop and foster relationships with other community providers and partners, including court and law enforcement, hospitals, residential programs, outpatient treatment programs, peer-based services and programs, and family and community groups. Contribute to an atmosphere of safety, sanctuary, dignity, support and resource through adherence to the Faith Mission Code of Ethics and Confidentiality Agreements. Requirements for a Recovery Counselor with Lutheran Social Services: High School Diploma and three (3) years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Human Services Field OR Bachelor's degree in any four-year program with 1 year of experience. Licensed by Ohio CSWMFT Board as an LPC, LSW, LMFT (Preferred) OR Ohio Chemical Dependency Board as a LCDC II (Preferred) OR Ohio Chemical Dependency Board as a CDCA (Minimally Required). One year of experience working in the human services field. Preferential for previous substance use and dual diagnosis treatment. Experience working with the homelessness, behavioral health, substance abuse/addiction, and/or chronic physical disabilities. Experience and training with Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Change, Harm Reduction, strongly preferred. Administrative reporting experience.
