Career Opportunity: Receptionist & Office Clerk In-office – Hamilton Mountain Umbrella Family and Child Centres of Hamilton is currently recruiting for an Receptionist & Office Clerk. A true office support, this position will play an integral role on the Finance team and as needed clerical support to human resources and the leadership team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance, the Receptionist & Office Clerk will: Maintain a welcome, safe and clean environment at our Head office for employees and guests; Monitor our external phone lines, voicemails, boardroom calendar and general company email inboxes; Input data into Accounting, Payroll and Child Care Management systems as required; Support Finance with Accounts Payable input and coding invoices; Handle enrolments, subsidy and billing inquiries from families and supervisor, and receive in-person payments; Support HR by performing background checks and document tracking for new hires; Provide general administrative and clerical support; Act as first point of contact for office vendors; Qualifications required for the position include: Post-secondary education completed in office administration or business, or a related field of study. 1-3 years of office, accounting and/or clerical experience Kn owledge of MS Office Suite is required, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience using accounting, payroll and child care management software is an asset. Polished oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external contacts. Demonstrated skills in analysis, problem solving and decision-making. Ability to work both independently and as a finance team member to achieve team outcomes. Ability to focus on established priorities and to meet deadlines. Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check and Health backssment. At Umbrella Family we love to have fun!
