POSITION TITLE: Receptionist I- St. Michael's Branch REPORTS TO: Assistant Branch Manager SUPERVISES: No JOB STATUS: Non- Exempt JOB GRADE 4: $27,040.00 - $38,459.20 Annually JOB SUMMARY : This employee is responsible for greeting and directing members and telephone calls to appropriate staff. All employees of State Employees Credit Union are proactive, result driven, and fully committed to the Credit Union's mission and vision. They strive to achieve the highest standards of excellence and consistently exceed the expectations established by Credit Union Management. DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: Greet members and answer telephone; refer members to the appropriate staff. Perform other functions for various departments as required. Maintain pamphlet/information racks in the lobby, and forms in the drive thru. Receive, separate and distribute mail. Sort out manifest bags-this mail comes from the branches. Assist members with basic new account information. Assist the Call Center with basic daily calls (Overload). Assist Member Service with stop payments and wires. Assist members with Bill Pay inquiries/resolve issues. Assist with debit card issues, problem solving, instant issues, and disputes. Assist members with Mobile Banking questions, inquiries, and trouble shooting. Set up members for online banking, reset passwords, reset security questions, and printing e-statements. Print counter checks, order checks, and order debit cards for members as needed. Order supplies for reception area. Serve as a back-up to the teller line. Understand compliance issues & attends training as they relate to Receptionist, including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act; Reg P; Patriot Act. Performs all other assigned duties. EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE: Some financial institution experience is preferred, including payment processes within the banking industry. Education or experience equivalent to a High School diploma or G.E.D certificate. Over 2 years of experience in a customer-service and public-facing role, including experience performing a wide array of administrative duties. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be a graduate of an accredited high school or have the equivalent of a high school diploma (G.E.D. certificate). Must be able to speak, write and understand English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Must have knowledge of office machines and equipment and be able to type. Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the members and general public. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be capable to execute all terms and conditions set forth in the Employee Handbook, including but not limited to: Works in a safety conscious manner which ensures that safe work practices are used in order not to pose a risk to self or others in the workplace. Adheres to policy on Drug Free Workplace. Complies with company policies and procedures and local, state and federal regulations. Interacts in a tactful and diplomatic manner with members, general public, and co-workers to provide a safe and efficient environment which ensures the self-respect, personal dignity, rights, and physical safety of each individual. Maintains a dependable attendance record and adheres to standards of cleanliness, grooming, hygiene and dress code. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical Demands - Requires sitting for long periods of time, some standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, lifting, grasping and fine hand coordination. Visual and aural acuity required. Finger and hand dexterity required. Must be able to lift 20 pounds maximum, with occasional lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Requires ability to read and write English and ability to communicate with members, and personnel. Must have ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions. Requires ability to remain calm under stress. Work Conditions - Inside. Job Related Travel - As required.
