Reports To: Logistics Manager Department: Operations Direct Reports: None FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-exempt Job Grade: Summary: This position is responsible for receiving inventory and MRO items, warehouse and storage organization and cleanliness, assisting in the retrieval, preparation and staging of molds used in manufacturing, and loading shelters. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and are not limited to: Receiving Receive shipments, verify receiving and receipt paperwork. Responsible for noting any damages and discrepancies and notifying the appropriate party. Organize priority orders and receive such orders in an accurate and timely manner. Unpack, count, label, date, and receive items. Check in and distribute non-inventory items to appropriate personnel or department in timely manner. Ensure that all receiving documents and receiving logs are easily accessible and maintained. Warehousing Responsible for continually organizing warehouse and other storage areas. Facilitates physical inventory counts as needed. Controls inventory levels by cycle counting and checking minimum stocking levels. Sorts and places inventory on shelves or in bins according to pre-determined sequence such as size, type, style or project. Labels inventory with identifying information. Break down cardboard boxes for recycling as required. Routinely put out full dumpsters/bring in empty dumpsters. Keep parking lot organized and free of clutter. Sweep up and clean as needed. Assists in the loading and shipping process as required. Kits and stages all materials needed for upcoming jobs. Delivers to production as required. Signals purchasing when inventory levels are low. Mold Handling/Staging/Preparation Responsible for assisting in retrieving and staging molds to meet the production schedule. Responsible for cleaning the surfaces of the molds in preparation for gelcoat. To include dusting, sweeping, wiping down, etc. Responsible for assisting in returning molds to their designated positions in the warehouse, parking lot, or manufacturing areas. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience: Minimum 1-2 yrs. experience in a warehouse environment. Must have knowledge of Kanban, Vendor Managed Inventory, barcoding, cycle counting, and inventory location management. Must be fork truck certified within 30 days of employment. Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel and Word skills preferred. Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret working drawings and specifications. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Skilled communications. Mathematical / Analytical Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Quality Responsibility: In daily work, an employee is responsible to maintain or exceed the degree of excellence requested by the internal and external customers of this department. This includes following established policies, following quality policies procedures and work instructions, using problem solving techniques to solve root causes of problems, and viewing quality as customer satisfaction.
