RCC Mental Health Therapist

Description:
As the RCC Therapist, you will provide mental health assessments for up to 7 youth. You will develop individualized service plans, provide individual counseling sessions, conduct family counseling, and facilitate group counseling amongst RCC clients. You will also ensure that all services are properly documented. This position is eligible to receive retention bonuses. For more information about the RCC Therapist position, you can download the full job description and apply on our website : https://lookingglass.applicantpool.com/jobs/ RCC, or the Regional Crisis Center, is a PRTS/subacute residential facility where youth are placed directly from the Department of Human Services . RCC provides residential living facilities, mental health treatment, family counseling, substance use disorders treatment, and academic instruction and education on-site. RCC clients are often display acute behaviors and have multiple mental or behavioral challenges. RCC uses verbal de-escalation tactics as well as treatments such as seclusion rooms and full-body restraints when necessary to ensure the safety of our clients. Follow this link to learn more about our RCC Program : https://www.lookingglass.us/regional-crisis-center You must be certifiable as a Qualified Mental Health Professional and have a Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a closely related field ( https://www.mhacbo.org/en/certifications/ ). It is preferred to have two years of counseling experience, including experience working with adolescents, groups, and families. You must be able to practice trauma-informed care, have knowledge of developmental issues in various stages of life, understand adjudicated and non-adjudicated youth with mental illness, and be able to identify the needs of individuals being treated for substance abuse issues. Knowledge of the DSM 5 and issues related to youth in residential and/or day treatment programs is required. Our workforce and clientele represent a diverse set of people from all walks of life.
