We are currently looking for an experienced Radiology Department Assistant, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in London, which is easily accessible via public transport. About the role: As a Radiology Department Assistant, you will provide a safe and effective care to patients and their families as appropriate to their needs and supporting the delivery of patient centred care during examinations and procedures. Your main responsibilities as a Radiology Department Assistant: - To be an integral member of the radiographic team and involved in the provision of cross-sectional diagnostic imaging services using MRI and CT scanning - To be based at one of the Companys two imaging sites, but cross site working may be required as directed by the Operations Manager - To work closely with the diagnostic radiographers, doctors and administration staff to support the imaging pathway - To be flexible and the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team - To ensure that the highest standards of customer care are maintained What we are looking for in a Radiology Department Assistant: - Grade C or above in Maths and English or an equivalent qualification - A high standard of verbal and written English/ good IT literacy including use of email - Previous experience working in a patient or customer facing role - Ability to accurately record date and information - To demonstrate compassionate care - Patient centred experience in an NHS or Private radiology department with prior experience of working within an MRI and/or CT environment - Prior experience of assisting medical staff in sterile procedures - Experience of.
