POSITION: Radiologic/CT Technologist EMPLOYMENT TYPE: .9 (72 hours/pay period) WORK SCHEDULE : 12-hour shift / Days, Evenings, Nights DEPARTMENT: Diagnostic Imaging Department Competitive salaries, generous benefit package ALL regular part time and full time positions are benefit eligible Education Reimbursement Shift Differential Amazing Coworkers Employee Referral Program ** $5000 Sign on Bonus!** JOB SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of the Imaging Department Director. Performs Imaging/CT procedures and all related duties. Assures patient safety at all times. Operates equipment accurately and efficiently applying the prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Works the various shifts required to staff the department. Provides guidance and instruction for radiologic technology students. Assists with scheduling imaging appointments. JOB DUTIES: Performs Imaging/CT procedures on patients of all ages; pediatrics, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Performs Imaging/CT procedures for all areas of organization; clinic, outpatient, inpatient areas, emergency room and operating room areas. Examines provider's orders to assure proper tests are completed. Instructs and prepares patient for procedure. Assures patient safety with the use of screening females of child bearing age for pregnancy, shielding, immobilization devices and appropriate age specific techniques. Operates equipment accurately and efficiently using proper technical factors for radiological diagnosis. Operates equipment accurately and efficiently following the Imaging/CT procedure protocols. Obtains and prepares CT procedures for reading using image reconstruction and post processing techniques. Follows protocol to perform quality control procedures Obtains and prepares images for reading. Evaluates images for quality and technical clarity. QUALIFICATIONS: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registered. ARRT CT certified or obtained post completion of competencies within 1 year. Basic Life Support certified or obtain within 4 months. Basic computer skills. Good interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission and values. Maintains reliable and consistent attendance.
