What do I need as an RN Registered Nurse Supervisor with Messiah Lifeways? RN licensed in Pennsylvania. Bachelor's degree preferred. Certified in CPR by an approved program that meets the state and federal regulations. Minimum of three years of nursing experience with a minimum of one year in gerontology preferred What will I do as an RN Registered Nurse Supervisor with Messiah Lifeways? Responsible for understanding enforcement and management of cottage call policy. Supports the planning of nursing education programs for all levels of personnel. Conducts conferences and discussions with personnel to encourage participation in formulating departmental policies, promotes initiative, solves problems, and presents new procedures. Communicate needs to the DON and/or ADON. Supervises nursing care employees and initiates disciplinary procedures when appropriate. Promotes personal and professional growth of staff. Assists staff nurses in assessing the condition of residents and planning for nursing management. Advises and assists nurses in administering new or unusual treatments. Makes significant clinical and administrative decisions for a specific shift based on department policies and procedures.
