About the role: We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with general knowledge and application of technical concepts, procedures, and practices. Interprets user feedback and provides design solutions to resolve issues related to biomedical application. Your responsibilities will include: Creates advanced CAD models of parts, assemblies and equipment using Solid Works tools. Creates drawings in Solid Works following internal Global Boston Scientific Corporation CAD Standards and templates. Uses CAD Database Management tool to track drawings, parts, assemblies’ revisions, and properties. Researches, develops, designs, and evaluates mechanical and electro-mechanical material, components, assemblies, processes and/or equipment. Conducts feasibility studies to verify capability and functionality. Develops new concepts from initial design to market release. Directs support personnel and coordinates project activities. Maintains detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development. Required qualifications: B. Eng. / BS in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. Minimum years of experience: 5 years with CAD Software such as Solid Works. Strong mechanical engineering skills, ideally with molds, assemblies, surface modeling, industrial design and plastic design using a CAD software.
