Job Overview This position uses professional practices in accordance with the company's objectives and SOPs to provide seamless transitions from nutritional foods and supplements project concepts to finished goods. The ideal candidate will provide creative solutions and use effective management techniques to ensure each product/project is moved along its life cycle in a timely and efficient fashion. Responsibilities Organize and attended weekly New Product Development meetings to ensure all departments are aware of a project's status. Build timelines, track action items and pending issues, and follow up with individuals on the progress or completion of tasks. Develop preliminary product concepts to determine financial feasibility. Manage R&D projects within the formulation software program (ETQ) to organize and address requests for pricing and samples. Organize and participate in sample taste evaluations with executives to ensure that formulas meet desired characteristics. Identify and highlight key formula/product considerations and challenges during the early stages of product development. Including (but not limited to): key cost drivers, costly packaging components and desired margin. Provide support to VP of Research and Development to answer customer inquiries related to existing product formulations. Research materials to determine applications, risks and/or benefits. Travel occasionally when needed. Additional duties and responsibilities as required. What You Need for this Position Bachelor's degree in biology, nutrition, chemistry or related fields At least 5 years of R&D Formulation experience Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and SAP Positive, Self-Starter Ability to effectively support and participate in multi-disciplinary teams. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to present concisely and effectively. Experience working with direct reports. Experience with 21 CFR 101.9, 101.36 Work Environment Work environment is moderately quiet.
