We are working with a specialist contractor near Basingstoke who need a Quantity Surveyor to join the small/specialist work team. The business specialise in the high end bespoke residential market working with high net worth clients to design and construct bespoke specialist and personal residences. The company have been highly successful over the last 10 years and have set up additional specialist divisions within the company including the specialist works team. They work on smaller schemes up to GBP7 million on refurbishment, upgrade and refresh works on both luxury high end homes and some heritage and listed building works as well. The role is to take responsibility for the commercial aspects of the works and you will work with the client and architects initially to form a brief and scope of works, work with the estimating team and specialist subcontractors to price and programme the works, procure the packages, plant and any specialist materials needed and then manage them through to completion. You will be looking after multiple schemes and be responsible for valuations, payments, CVRs, reporting, forecasting, variation accounts etc. and a majority of the projects are on a JCT form of contract.
