We are currently working alongside a Tier 1 Main Contractor with a strong presence in Leeds, managing significant schemes within the City Centre and its surroundings. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of these projects by providing expertise in cost management, procurement, and commercial management. Responsibilities: 1 Cost Management: Oversee all aspects of cost control throughout the project lifecycle, from initial estimates to final account settlement. 2 Procurement: Manage the procurement process, including subcontractor selection, tendering, and negotiation to ensure value for money and adherence to project timelines. 3 Commercial Management: Monitor project financial performance, identify potential risks, and implement strategies to mitigate them. 4 Contract Administration: Administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and facilitating timely payments. 5 Variation Management: backss and manage variations to contracts, including the preparation and negotiation of change orders. 6 Cost Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to support project decision: making and facilitate effective communication with stakeholders. 7 Dispute Resolution: Identify and resolve commercial disputes in a timely and efficient manner to minimize project delays and costs. 8 Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, including engineers, architects, and site managers, to achieve project objectives and deliver high: quality outcomes. 9 Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and market trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, preferably with.
