Im currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to work on HS2 in Birmingham. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the management of quantity surveying activities for the HS2 project in Birmingham, including cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration. Collaborate closely with senior quantity surveyors and project managers to ensure accurate and timely reporting of project costs, budgets, and expenditures. Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tenders, bills of quantities, and contract documents, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Support the identification and backssment of change requests, variations, and claims, and provide recommendations on their financial implications. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify potential risks, and backss the quality of workmanship. Assist in the negotiation of contracts, subcontracts, and agreements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quantity surveying activities, including measurement books, valuation certificates, and payment applications. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum of 3 years experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the infrastructure or construction sector. Strong understanding of quantity surveying principles, practices, and techniques. Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards governing quantity surveying and construction contracts.
