Im currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to work on a highways scheme in Bromsgrove. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates and budgets for the highways scheme. Conduct thorough cost analysis and value engineering exercises to optimise project costs. Manage subcontractor agreements, including procurement, negotiation, and contract administration. Monitor project expenditure and provide regular financial reports to the project team. Evaluate variations and change orders, ensuring that they are properly documented and priced. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve commercial disputes and claims in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of project costs and expenditure for reporting and auditing purposes. Assist in the preparation of tender documents and procurement strategies as required. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on highways or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control techniques. Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in using industry: standard quantity surveying software Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and project team members.
