Shift: This role is 1st Shift, -Hourly Rate: $0.00 an hour Why Conagra Brands - Council Bluffs: $21.17 per hour + .60 per hour attendance bonus Overtime Eligibility Excellent benefit package Up to 10 paid Holidays per year 401K and vacation Company Store Job Summary: The QC Technician is responsible for a variety of duties including inspecting food product and packaging quality according to Company procedure, verifying and ensuring all product code date checks are correct and documented, inspecting metal detectors, x-ray machines, and check weighs, obtaining and delivering samples for the Micro Lab, recording weights, conducting temperature checks, and monitoring the production process adhering to USDA, GMP, and sanitation guidelines. You will work on site at the Council Bluffs location. You will report to the Quality Assurance Team Leader. Essential Job Functions: Work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position Read, write, communicate, and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English Work all areas in the plant and all start times Job Duties: Inspect, set-up, and check metal detectors, x-rays, and check weighs Verify ingredients for production are correct by checking against the production batch sheet Obtain samples of product components from production lines to check and record weights, temperatures, and product quality Aseptically sample product components and swab environmental sites for microbiological testing Understand and address alarms for out of control weights promptly Identify defective and nonconforming product and take appropriate corrective action Check and record product codes and packaging to assure compliance with regulations and provide traceability Monitor production process ensuring adherence to GMP, USDA, and sanitation guidelines and taking corrective action if standards are not being met Review HAACP and QA documentation to ensure compliance Place nonconforming materials on hold Follow all appropriate startup, changeover, and end of shift procedures Perform internal audits for allergen labeling, broken glass and plastic, general facility condition.
