Salary Range $18.67 - $22.38 depending on qualifications; $1,500.00 sign-on bonus; $500 paid after 30 days worked; Another $500 paid after 90 days worked; the remaining $500 will be paid after 6 months. For a full list of benefits please visit our Career page at https://www.treetop.com/careers/benefits/ SUMMARY: Following established policies and procedures, this position encompasses the inspecting, testing and evaluating of finished goods at different stages of the production process to determine and maintain quality and consistency of products. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Other duties may be assigned. All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices. It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top Inc. to report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks. This is a representative sample--not to imply a complete listing of all responsibilities and tasks. Selects products for testing at specified stages in the production process and at predetermined intervals. Tests products for quality characteristics utilizing various pieces of laboratory equipment, following proscribed Tree Top methods and using proper laboratory technique. Calibrates laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results. Calculates and records test data completely, concisely, accurately and legibly on paper are well as the computer. Evaluates data and communicates information to Supervisor to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. Responsible for addressing potential food safety and quality issues of the product. Informs Supervisor on a timely basis all operational problems encountered and what action was taken to resolve the problems with recommendations to prevent reoccurrences. This includes the documentation of operation trouble spots to corrective action. Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office Programs. Conducts oneself in a professional manner, working safely, taking precautions in preventing product and/or equipment damages and losses, cooperating with co-workers and maintaining good housekeeping practices at all times. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. One to three month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write, and communicate in English, and interpret documents such as specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with co-workers and supervisors. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places; in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
