Purchasing Manager for the Board of Stark County Commissioners. The Board of Stark County Commissioners is now accepting resumes for the position of Purchasing Manager. This full-time, unclassified position is responsible for implementing sound purchasing programs that result in efficient use of County funds while meeting specific needs for the acquisition of goods and services. This position will advise departments and ensure compliance with Federal and State laws and Stark County rules as well as consult with County officials on purchasing activities including bid issuance, development of requests for proposals (RFP), vendor lists, formal and informal bid specifications, sales, internet purchases, auctions, process requisitions for presentation to the Board of County Administrator for approval and other purchasing related activities.Qualified candidates must have: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Business, Public Administration or relevant field; At least three (3) years of professional Purchasing experience preferably in a governmental setting; and Valid State of Ohio driver's license Employment will be contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening.Compensation & Benefits: Final salary determination will be commensurate with education and experience.
