POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Effectively execute timely media monitoring and reporting daily. Pitch news to media Write and edit content and press releases, with accuracy and speed. Help manage media relations and logistics for b2b and b2c clients. Build and maintain media lists and database. Mine for story opportunities in a timely way. Develop new content for internal and external publication. Assist in development of PR campaign project plans and written materials including press releases, media statements and talking points EDUCATION Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field of work. B.A. in Communications or related field REQUIRED SKILLS 1-2 years of agency public relations experience preferred Experience in project management (preferably Asana) and execution of PR campaigns. Working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint Demonstrated success in securing media coverage (local, trade and/or national) and passion for media relations Relevant knowledge of local media, national news, and industry trends Experience with and understanding of PR and marketing concepts and practices Willingness to follow industry trends and current methods Outstanding communication and writing skills and knowledge of AP Style Working knowledge of social media Excellent attention to detail, strong proofreading skills and ability to multitask and execute through to completion Candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating calm under pressure EMPLOYEE BENEFITS We believe that great work starts by taking care of our people.
