Our community is looking for an Activities Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities: The Memory Care Activities Assistant helps residents living with dementia stay active in hobbies and interests they have enjoyed through their lives, have new experiences, and develop meaningful relationships with others. This includes planning and implementing a variety of group and individual activities with the support of the Director of Memory Care Services. Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in social work, recreation, sociology, psychology or related field preferred One to three years experience in assisted living or long term care working with memory care patients preferred Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills. Ability to encourage and motivate older adults. Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. Demonstrated creative ability. Strong skills in organization, delegation and consensus building.
