Description:
CareSTL Health is seeking full-time PSR (Patient Services Rep) Operators to operate telephone business systems equipment, switchboard and intercom to relay incoming, outgoing and interoffice calls and messages. Supply information to callers and record messages. Essential Functions: Answer incoming calls from multi line phone system and route them to the appropriate person or department. Appropriately articulate organizational information including site locations, hours of operations, services and programs, registration required documents, etc. Efficiently grasp the information needed to assist the caller needs such as Provider and employee names, extensions and site locations Execute appropriate Emergency Codes thru the intercom paging system to facilitate emergency response activation Confirm existing appointments, repeating date, time, provider and site location A successful candidate: Excellent verbal communication skills Highly motivated with excellent customer service skills Ability to work within a clinical environment Excellent telephone operating skills Ability to handle a high volume of calls Ability to diffuse irate callers Excellent problem solving skills Able to work with a variety of teams, individuals and departments Punctuality a must Learn Codes to facilitate emergency response Must have a friendly, empathetic phone presence Ability to follow a script, if necessary Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience: 1-2 years in customer service 1-2 years managing high volume calls Background working in a clinical environment is preferred, but not required Additional Information: Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 11 paid holidays per year.
