Red Carrot is seeking a Proposal Writer to join our team. The Proposal Writer ensures the proposal response is compliant, compelling, and completed on schedule. The Proposal Writer works with the team to ensure that the opportunity strategies, solutions, themes, and discriminators are woven into the proposal response. Must have experience in writing and leading Federal Government requests for proposals. A minimum of three years of experience in federal government proposal writing is required for this position. This role is 100% remote. RESPONSIBILITIES Prepares proposals by determining concept, gathering, and formatting information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals. Supports developing winning themes and strategies by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposal (RFPs), and attending strategy meetings. Writes proposal content for technical, management, and staffing, and past performance sections based on knowledge and subject matter interviews. Writes, revises, and edits drafts, including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials. Maintains quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; maintaining proposal support databases. Obtains approvals by reviewing response with the proposal manager. Collaborates with subject matter experts to refine technical content. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Must Haves At least 3 years of experience in federal government proposal writing. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Strong written and verbal skills. Proficient in Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). Experience working with Shipley proposal writing process, or similar approach.
