Position/Title: Property Accountant Reports to: Senior Accounting Manager Start Date: Immediately Location: Birmingham, AL Responsibilities Include: · Record and reconcile financial information. · Review and post accounts payables and accounts receivable batches. · Reconcile bank statements. · Process monthly journal entries accordingly. · Review general ledger for accuracy prior to month-end close. · Produce monthly reporting packages for each client’s properties on your team. · Review management fees calculations. · Prepare owner funding request. · Work closely with Property Managers regarding questions on properties. · Assist management with special projects when requested. Experience, Skills & Requirements: College degree required, plus a minimum of 2+ years’ accounting experience. Yardi experience preferred. Working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word. Good foundation of basic accounting principles. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Ability to meet deadlines. Professional communication skills.
