Project Worker : Part Time Charles Street, Grays GBP 12.09 25 hours per week Do you want a role where no two days are the same? Are you passionate about supporting people? Can you work under pressure and manage challenging situations? If this sounds like you then we may have your perfect opportunity We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Worker to join our Thurrock Rough Sleepers Outreach team. We provide an end to end service working with people from the point of identification as homeless and support them whilst on the streets to securing accommodation within the local borough or reconnecting them to a place where the individual has lived previously. We work closely with the local councils Rough Sleeper Co: Ordinator and the local councils housing team. In this role you will work with our outreach staff and other external agencies in supporting these identified vulnerable customers. Part of this role includes out of hours outreach work, when the team go out to identify and confirm any potential homeless people that are referred to us via Streetlink this includes early mornings 5am to 8am and late evenings 10pm to 1am. Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, open manner is essential for success in this role.
