The Project Manager located in Burlington, IA plans, directs, and coordinates activities with customers and maintains relationships with established clientele to design, price, and obtain contracts for the completion of commercial and industrial projects. After contracts have been awarded, the Project Manager ensures goals and objectives are accomplished to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. Iowa Class A Journeyman License required for consideration.*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:•Active management for assigned construction projects to ensure the projects are completed accurately, on-time, and within budget. This includes all coordination between owners, engineers, vendors, construction managers, other trades, subcontractors, and internal resources.•Planning and coordinating on-going projects including: major materials, engineering, workforce scheduling, change orders, subcontractors and equipment needs.•Provides necessary leadership to project supervisors to monitor scheduling of daily work for field employees, job progress and job completion while ensuring customer satisfaction.•Responsible for accurate management of project financials including forecasting, monthly billing, tracking, and all costs associated with the project.•Provides project estimates as assigned for customers using company software programs to ensure bids/estimates meet company standards.•Perform marketing activities necessary to generate new business.•Strengthens existing business relationships with current customers. Works with internal staff to ensure a high-level of customer satisfaction.•Maintains department profitability and sales goals as determined by the Board of Directors•Demonstrates leadership in ensuring all OSHA, customer, and Shaw Electric safety policies and standards are promoted, followed and documented.•Maintains a positive work atmosphere by interacting with the Company's internal/external customers in a mutually respectful manner regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation and all other protected classes.•Adheres to the highest standards of business conduct and compliance by acting lawfully, ethically, honestly and professionally in the performance of all job functions at all times in compliance with Company policy and procedures.•Performs all supervisory/managerial responsibilities in a manner that fully complies with the Company's Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Policy and that meets the requirements of all related federal and state regulations. Adhere to all EEO and regulations in the hiring, placement, promotion, transfer, selection and training processes.•Completes annual performance evaluations and wage recommendations. Addresses performance and behavior issues in a timely manner. Works with Human Resources regarding each issue/incident and follow through with appropriate action. Approaches each issue fair and consistently in order to reduce Company risk. QUALIFICATIONS: Education - High School Diploma or GED required; vocational certification or associate degree preferred. Experience - Seven to ten related years' experience in commercial/industrial electricity. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations and procedures. Establishes and maintains working relationships with vendors, government agencies, employees and managers. Licenses/Certifications - Must have valid drivers' license and Iowa Journeyman License level A required Technology/Equipment - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
