Project Manager Team Leader: The PM Team Leader serves as supervisor for multiple direct reports, including project management intern(s), assistant project manager(s), project manager(s) and senior project manager(s). This role is primarily one of people and business segment leadership, while project leadership must be second. As a leader within the Solutions business segment, the PM Team Leader ensures that fulfillment team members and the segment's fulfillment processes are aligned for the segment to achieve its annual revenue and margin targets. Although the PM Team Leader does not have P&L responsibility for the Solutions segment, the role strongly influences the segment to achieve its annual targets. Essential Duties: - Reinforce Safety as the Top Priority. - Reinforce proactive project management best practices among direct reports. - Serve in role as coach within project management team. - Support the personal and professional growth of associates within project management team. - Conduct annual project management operations plan; support project management staff in setting team goals, carrying out team goals; prepare quarterly briefing about status of project management team goals and timeline for completion. - Advance the project management skill sets of project management staff to include time management, effective communication, project scheduling, critical path monitoring, subcontractor and vendor utilization, project risk mitigation, understanding and documenting client expectations and contractual obligations, project closeout, warranty support, and pull through business opportunities. - Assign projects to project management team. - Load level the workload distribution of active projects among the project management team associates based upon project complexity and associate skill sets. - Coordinate so that preliminary reviews of project documentation (scopes of work, plans, specifications, equipment submittals, schedules, etc.) are done in advance of Turnover so that project management associates are well-prepared for the turnover with questions and comments. - Monitor and report upon project cost variances with respect to estimated costs for labor, materials, and subcontractors. - Works across organizational cross-functional teams to ensure that the project managers have resources necessary to carry out their projects on-time, under budget, and to exceed client expectations. - Support the project management staff to regularly identify and follow-up with the account executives any business opportunities resulting from project in progress. - Assist in the training and support for new project management associates, as well as any project management internships that the Company may make available. - Other duties as assigned Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field or equivalent combination of education & experience - PMP certification strongly preferred and highly recommended - 5-10 years Project Management experience - Comfortable with MS Excel and Outlook - Positive attitude, self-starter, motivated - Ability to develop and support professional career paths of subordinates - LEED certification preferred Supervisory Responsibilities: - Supervise associates in Solutions Department - Responsible for coaching/managing the professional development of all direct reports - Responsible for networking, developing leads, and recruitment for all direct reports - Responsible for training on and compliance with employment law and regulations Physical Demands and Work Environment: - Mobility within the office & job sites - Willing to travel locally as required - Frequent visits to job sites We offer: - Excellent pay and benefits - Great and supportive work environment - Professional training and growth - Generous educational assistance program - Recognition and outstanding co-workers!
