Perrigo is seeking interns with a variety of engineering/science disciplines (Industrial Eng., Mechanical Eng., Chemical Eng., Electrical Eng., Manufacturing Eng., BioMedical Eng., Chemistry, Statistics/Math etc.) to provide engineering support for day-to-day operations of a lean six sigma consumer goods manufacturing facility. As a Project Engineer at Perrigo, you will provide technical project management support for medium to long term capital projects of a lean six sigma pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Projects include, but not limited to infrastructure, manufacturing, and packaging equipment within a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Scope of the Role Works on plant floor with the Mechanics, Operations, Safety, Engineering and other staff to troubleshoot technical or non-technical problems in relation to production and Asset Reliability. Coordinates and leads continuous improvement projects aimed at MRO / Part Management and implement improvements by streamlining processes and improve capabilities. Implement equipment and process changes that improve quality, productivity and safety. Support equipment or process validation efforts of new and existing equipment. Develops and executes facilities projects as part of on-going efforts to reduce insurance liabilities. Experience Required Knowledge of cGMPs and previous exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing highly preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills, sound decision-making skills, and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a team-oriented environment. Demonstrated leadership skills and computer literacy. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong listening skills and presentation skills. Ability to interpret and apply written procedures and standards governing manufacturing processes. Knowledge on MRO / Parts Management highly preferred. This position pays $25.00/hr.
