*We are currently unable to offer sponsorship at this time - please do not apply if you will require sponsorship* The Project Engineer will coordinate and manage engineering and development projects. Who will oversee various aspects of workflow, staffing, budget allocation, and scheduling of the assigned project. Responsible for coordinating all project elements including engineering design, quality planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and final validation phases as well as ensuring the project remains within budget in order to meet the requirements of the customer?s needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (others may be assigned) Provide technical engineering oversight to develop project execution plans, and associated engineering studies for equipment component installation, etc.Lead multifunctional new product project teams through the project lifecycle, adhering closely to project timeline and budgetEnsure that all work is performed in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), safety procedures, quality standards, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, other regulatory agency standards, and good maintenance practicesApply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing methodology to enhance quality, reliability, or cost-effectivenessAssess new technology and new product ideas for technical and economic feasibility.Fundamental understanding of process instrumentation and automationIncorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations.Provide technical leadership for the manufacturing processes to resolve operationalproblems as it relates to producibility, conformance to the drawing or specifications, material use and bottlenecks in the process.Develop detailed manufacturing drawingsDevelop and perform IQ, OQ, and PQ protocolsInteract regularly with consulting engineers, contractors, and/or government entities todevelop acquire approvals for manufacturing drawings 10% travel requiredRequirements Related bachelor?s degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical5-10 years? experience in manufacturing, operations, or engineering environment withtechnical knowledge of operations and manufacturing flowProficiency with SolidWorks or other CAD platformsMedical device experience preferred but not requiredDisplay strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as daily interaction with engineers, contractorsand/or public agencies is requiredQualifications: The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. A knowledge of process validations, statistical evaluation techniques, and FDA/ISO regulations. Proficient with Solid Works and Microsoft Office programs.
