As part of our Shared Services group, comprised of Finance, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Commercial, Legal and Facilities, we support the business achieve their goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure delivery of services through the skills of our people, methodologies, and systems. As the Project Accountant you will: Prepare a complete set of accounting records for an active Joint Venture in accordance with IFRS standards Treat Joint Venture as a separate company, G/L, A/R, A/P, Balance Sheet, Income statement, etc. prepare monthly Financial Statements for distribution to all JV members track Contracts, Budget Approvals, Task Approvals, etc from client, monitor monthly progress of Joint Venture against Budgets Handle all associated administrative tasks: tax filings (HST), cash transactions (cash receipts and payments to all Vendors), invoicing (assist with preparation and track all invoices submitted to client monthly), and cost allocations of JV Partner Invoices and Sub-Consultant Invoices to JV Liaise with senior management from the Joint Venture partners discussing and interpreting results (if JV profits are anticipated, issuing/distribution of profits periodically) Other duties as assigned As a qualified candidate you bring: CPA program an asset or comparable.
