Description:
General Description: This position is responsible for calculating and overseeing the financial aspects of our construction projects in the Florida regions. Key Job Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the finance group with a "dotted line" to other project managers as required. Providing project managers and clients with timely financial reports and budgets, as well as project forecasts. Reviewing budgets and contracts, including staffing, work plans, and fee structures. Tracking and analyzing the approval of invoices and expenditures Preparing actual costs, working capital, and tax reports. Monitoring receivable income and supporting project managers with collections. Reviewing and managing purchase orders, invoices, and supplier contracts Tracking of project changes orders and approvals Ensuring a steady cash flow by generating, auditing, and sending invoices in a timely manner. Updating contracts according to client requirements and reporting associated budget amendments Lead the Work-In-Progress (WIP) accounting for the region. Supporting project teams and finance leadership with ad hoc analysis Education, work experience and other requirements: Cost accounting experience strongly preferred.Construction experience strongly preferred.High School diploma or equivalent.1+2 years of experience in a similar or equal position to that of Construction Accountant preferred.Work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a teamBe able to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer.Be able to work more than 40 hours a week when required.Be able to lift at least 40lbs.Basic understanding of accounting concepts and principles.Excellent computer skills, including MS Office.Strong communication and customer service skills.
